Your lamp has a built-in timer with an automatic 16 hours on and 8 hours off cycle - it's the perfect amount of light for faster growth. Try to make the lamp mimic the natural day cycle: just plug it in in the morning so the light would be on during the day and it will automatically shut off for the night time once the 16 hours is done. It is important for the plants to enjoy some rest in the dark - they need sleep just as we do.
- If you wish to reset the timer, you should always wait for at least 10 seconds after unplugging the lamp to plug it in again. Should the lamp's automatic schedule malfunction, leave the garden unplugged for at least 2 hours before plugging it in again.

All of our products work on 100-240v. This includes the tabletop units, Click & Grow 25, and Wall Farms as well.
-
Our gardens use LED light bulbs that are very long-lasting - if used every day, the bulb should last for 7 years.
-
The Smart Garden 9, the Wall Farm, and the Click & Grow 25 have two types of bulbs - white and red LEDs. The red light spectrum will make the photosynthesis process more efficient, resulting in better growth and healthier plants.
-
The lamp can be pretty bright, but please avoid covering the garden to prevent overheating or causing a fire hazard. As all of our Smart Gardens use LEDs, you don’t need to worry about the lamp emitting any UV rays either so covering is definitely not needed.
-
Start your Smart Garden 3 with no extensions added - only add the first extension once the plants are around 1 cm from the light to avoid tip burn.
-
With the Smart Garden 9, you should only ever use one pair of extensions (included in the kit) and you should add them straight from the start. It is required so the white and red light spectra would mix together correctly. If you use the device without the extension arms at first, healthy germination will be hindered. If you use two sets of extension arms on your Smart Garden 9, the plants will not have enough light and will grow tall and leggy instead of bushy and full. Harvest of edible plants could also be affected.
The energy usage of our Smart Garden lamps is as follows:
Smart Garden 3:
Power consumption: | 8W |
Power consumption per month: | 3.8 kWh |
Smart Garden 9:
Power consumption: | 13W |
Power consumption per month: | 6.2 kWh |
Wall Farm:
Power consumption: | 110W |
Power consumption per month: | 53 kWh |
If your lights are flashing or are working irregularly we would recommend doing a full reset of your garden, it is very simple:
