How to set/adjust the light timer?

Follow

The timer's working schedule is 16 hours on and 8 hours off. The cycle starts from the beginning every time you plug in the Smart Herb Garden. For example: if you plug it in at 8AM, it will turn itself off at 12AM (after being on for 16 hours) and again on  at 8AM. You should always wait for at least 10 seconds after unplugging the lamp to allow it reset and then plug in again to start a new cycle.

How accurate is the light timer? Mine seems to be off by ~5min each day. For example, if I started the timer at 8am, it should shut off by midnight and then turn on again at 8am. What I'm experiencing is I start the timer at 8am, and next morning I notice it turns on at 7:55am. The following day it turns on at 7:50am, then 7:45am, and so forth.

Yes, mine does the same thing but my timer is off by more like 10 or so minutes. After a few weeks it's coming on in the wee hours of the morning and waking me up. I try and unplug the click and grow for a few seconds every couple of weeks to reset it to the times I want it to be on and off.

Hi Jean, I had contacted support and they told me their timer's precision is +/- 1% which means it can be off by up to 14 minutes in any given day. This is pretty bad considering cheap $5 clocks drift <1min/day.

    Hi Eric and Hi Jean,

The only thing we can suggest at the moment is to unplug the light for a few minutes to reset the program. We will definitely better our products in the near future and any feedback is much appreciated!

Had my click and grow for two days now. The light doesn't shut all the way off at 16 hours. There is still some of the LEDs on.

    Hi Jeffrey,

If it stays dim for 8 hours after being brightly on for 16 hours, it is completely normal :) Just wait for it to come on again after 8 hours.

Do I need natural sunlight for my herbs garden?
Can I switch off my herbs garden at night as it doesn't seem to dim after 16 hours.
Thank you appreciate your kind response

    Hi Jocelyn,

The lamp should be on all day but if you've got the chance to offer your plants natural sunlight as well, that only makes them happier and produce more :) Some darkness at night is desirable, however. Sorry to hear that your lamp doesn't go dim after 16 hours, it could be something to do with the timer, contact us via support@clickandgrow.com to get more help with that.
